Vintage Craft Fair

Following Christmas I have been busy making new stock for the Vintage Craft fair on the 29th Jan, St.Matthias, plymouth.

I still had some spare stock left from my last craft fair and so mixed this in with my new craft items. I customized two fleece blankets using a heart design with a Laura Ashley floral material, which I outlined with a zig-zag small stitch on my fab sewing machine. I also made two Pin cushions, large hanging hearts and also my famous heart and corsage brooches which proved to be very popular.

Overall I had lots of lovely comments and great suggestions about my crafts... these are just a few words/sentences that people banded around by my stool ... Beautiful , pretty, talented, "that would look lovely in my kitchen", "that matches my wall paper", "that would look great on my blue coat", "my little girl likes the heart brooches"...

My day at the craft fair included;

Seeing lots of familiar faces
recognizing people, but not sure who they were
chatting to the Berlesque girl next to me
looking at Vintage Clothes
Eating my packed lunch
freezing
cold
trying not to spend money that I had made on vintage stuff
takeaway coffee

I still have some stock left please e-mail me or facebook me if you are interested in purchasing the stock left   linzybenz@hotmail.com

December...!!!!

Having not published a post recently, I thought I would update my followers about what I have been upto over the Christmas Period.

Although I have been on holiday at Christmas, I could not resist my sewing machine and decided to make some people Christmas presents, which was very enjoyable :-)

Also I am lucky enough to have my birthday in December and celebrated this with a flat party and a meal , plus trying out snow boarding on Dartmoor with my novio as my teacher....fun,fun,fun...

Christmas was great spending time with my very talented sister ; this included giggles, photos, intelligent conversations, sharing ideas and giving cool presents....My mum who has recently decided to start drinking alcohol again has been extremly funny this Christmas and this has involved, dancing to the radio loudly , exercising, eating good food, watching films, laughing and discussions about God....

Looking forward to the year ahead and hoping to make and expand my craft collections watch this space .....

Christmas Craft fair

After 6 weeks of hard work, pin pricked fingers and organising the craft fair...it went well!!! Thank you to those of you who came along, especially those of you who made some purchases :-)

This was my first craft fair, on arrival I was slightly daunted as many crafters had grabbed most of the tables...which resulted on us having two very small tables...I was slightly annoyed by this...and after fluttering my eye lashes at the male organiser, I managed to get us one of the biggest tables....

It took a while to arrange and set up the table...but once the final touches were made it looked great...all in all I enjoyed the day smiling at people, chatting, eating cupcakes, talking loudly to old people and seeing friends...

The craft fair was to raise awareness of St.Lukes Hospice, a great charity that helps families through the difficult time of close relatives who are suffering from cancer, something which is very close to me as my Aunty Chrissy passed away on the 4/12/10 due to cancer <3 Xx

Me and Helen pride our work on being homemade...which many of our customers commented on...I still have some Christmas stock left ...such as heart brooches, hanging hearts, star blankets so if you still have friends, family that you need to buy presents for please e-mail me on linzybenz@hotmail.com Thanks

Crimbo Craft Update

I have been very busy this week finishing off my final christmas crafts ready for the craft fair this weekend. last Friday I visited tavistock, Devon with my boyfriend late night shopping I managed to find some decent gift tags that I can now add my name and prices on.

I also found in Bristol some very nice blue fleece blankets, I decided to customise them adding appliqued patterened stars on. I also purchased some small cushions that I have added butterfly silhouette's on in different patterned materials.

All in all I have a small collection of fabric brooches, small hanging hearts, individual big hanging hearts, blankets and cushions + Some small heart christmas tree decorations.

Although being busy with making crafts, I have also Seen Ellie Goulding live, been to parties, ate good food, watched DVDs + watched friends getting baptised on the beach :-)

I look forward to seeing some of you at the craft fair <3
