Polka dot buttons + Shoes
After being awake since 4,30 in the morning, I thought that the best way to utilize my crazy awakeness was to create some crafts...... I have some plain black pumps which I bought about a month or so ago....My favorite material which is blue with white polka dots on, I had left over and used to cover two buttons...Perfect I thought!!! I used these buttons to cutomise the plain black shoes.
I knew the fabric covered buttons would come to use ...(see my blog on Fabric covered buttons)
Today is Easter Sunday...oooh that means chocolate eggs!!! but also the celebration that Jesus rose from the dead, although he was cruelly crucified on the cross by the Romans, it is written in scripture that he rose again 3 days later, with many witness's who claim to have seen him after his death...Jesus died but he also rose again and beat the power of death...all that believe in him and turn from sin in repentence, can also have this gift of living eternally ....death is not the end for those who trust and believe in him!!!!
Ok ! enough of the preaching...
Happy Easter.....Why not try customising some of your own shoes...any posted pictures or links to your own creations are more than welcome on my blog ....

Fabric covered buttons
After having a busy but fun bank holiday , this evening I decided to use some old buttons that I had spare, plus looked through some of my scrape material in order to decorate them ready to use for some future craft projects.
With such awesome weather I have been swimming in the sea and sunbathing ....plus eating outside in the garden and looking after my new recently planted potted plants.
Also due to getting married soon, I have been busy whilst I have time, thinking about who to chose for bridesmaids, what song I would like to walk down the isle to, who to have playing in the worship team ect.... I am going to my friend Helens on Sunday for a BBQ as it is her B-day....Helen has been very amazing at organising my hens for my Hen do, which is all a surprise for me :D
My buttons I think have turned out very well and I recommend to you, finding some spare buttons you have lying around and having ago at finding some funky or retro material to cover them. I now can have ago at deciding what to make in order to put the fabric buttons to use.

Princess/Marrigold + Fushia/Sweetpea = Moondust Delight
If you have had the pleasure of reading my Potting flowers fun post, the title of this blog with make sense to you. If not i suggest you read it, not only for your enjoyment in reading about my day, but also to see the range of flowers that I potted.
After buying the plants/flowers on Monday, I then continued to arrange my pots and decide what flowers to pot and how to arrange them...I have even exceeded myself by making a small rockery with some spare flowers that I had left over.
Me and My Fiancee had recently been to to the beach where we collected a number of white pebbles ....the intention for this was for our wedding table decoration.s..but I decided to take a few and place some in the pots and rockery ....very effective !!!!
Just need to wait a few weeks for the flowers to bud and let the magic begin!!

poTTinG FlOwErs FuN
With all this glorious weather we have had over the weekend ... I thought it was time to make my garden decking look pretty and appealing ready for the summer BBQs etc.....so plants for the decking it was ,woop!!!!
Recently my Fiancee mother Maite, gave me some outside pots that were her mother in laws who has sadly passed away.... perfect for planting new fresh plants/flowers in I thought!!
Being a total gardening virgin I headed to the local/closest store which I knew sold various gardening tools and plants. I picked up some sweet peas/yellow marigolds/ upright Lobilia/fushsia plus an extra pot.
The Fushsia pink and white flower which is referred to on the label as 'Patio Princess' I thought was quite fitting and aspire to be....the upright Lobila should have various moonlight colours ...romantic ....the sweet peas should add a touch of innocence
and the yellow Marigolds a blast of spark!!!
I also managed to get some compost which was buy one get one free! awesome, just need to wait until the clouds clear and then I can get potting and decide what pots to put which flowers in.

Simple but Effective
My Easter break has begun and the passion for getting started on some new crafts has risen.
My first project over my Easter break has been customizing some shoes that I bought, simple but effective! I have been very blessed and was given a big box of, various ribbons, lots of needles/cottons of many colours and scrap materials. This is fab and will help towards making some new original crafts.
The shoes that I bought where plain cream flat shoes from a well known company, they were purchased by myself at a very low cost.... then using an old patterned dress, which has small pink rose flowers, little polka dots on and a white background, decided to make small rosettes with a pearl bead center to sew onto the front of my shoes, I then thought it would be better to add a smaller rosette, with a small button in the center onto the front of the shoe as well.....this took no longer that half an hour and has transformed my plain shoes....I recommend this idea highly!!!
Alot of my new stock will include wedding crafts so watch this space and get inspired ......
