MiNi HeArTs...

After a week of riding around on new found obsession( New Bike),Picking plums, blackberries,generally enjoying the weather!! I began to think about new creations for decorative fabric brooches. Having already made a few hanging hearts, the idea of making MINI hearts came to mind.....

Today I got straight on with task and have managed to make some....not bad for a first try!!!! I will continue to broaded my attempt at these and experiment with different patterns,beads,etc!!! Also the quality of the mimi hearts I am hoping will improve with practice..

Surprisingly I have found the MINI hearts to be the most difficult to make so far due to they're small size, a little bit tricky and fiddly

My next design adventures with MINI hearts will be keyrings, scented and general acessories for bags,clothes,jackets,cardi's and anything else of choice.

I am also busy getting some camping stuff to go to a Together@Westpoint gathering organised by New Frontiers... This will be at Exeter show ground and will last for 4 days!!!! Things I still need to get are; Colourful/patterned wellies, Cag in bag, warm socks....

Cupcake Mad!!

over the past week various people have given me ideas for my fabric pictures, such as birds,boats,teapots + cups, cupcakes.... Having thought about designing some new fabric pictures I experiemented with creating a cupcake material picture!!! This took about 3hrs to make and is one of my larger pieces of work. Having completed this, I can now develop and expand upon this theme....


Also as a side line...I fancied making + decorating some cupcakes ...which were delish : ) !!!

Over the weekend I had some friends around for some homemade lasagna, wine and Dvds all of which was good fun...we watched Little Miss Sunshine...which was about a massively dysfunctional family and hugely funny, but a bit wrong in places!!!!

Today after church me and my friend Helen visited a craft fair to get ideas and inspiration. Helen and I are both very interested in all things crafty ....Helen also has a blog and online shop if you are interested in visiting her blog please click on her link....

Inspirations 2 ( Crafts + Class)

Having spent time in cornwall, particuarly Port Isaac for a few days!!! I gained some great ideas for new crafty creations!!!

I still had some fabric left from sue wooldridge and decided to make some more corsages, but with patterned material!!! Having sold a few brooches already... I wanted to expand my collection in order to appeal to different customer taste...

In order to broaden my collection of hand crafted stuff... I have experimented with creating pictures with material...my first attempt (Applique teapot) has been successful and will definitely help with developing ideas for the future!!!
