This Morning after gently waking up, with the sound of birds singing and sunshine peeping through the curtains I had an epiphany ...today was the day!! It was in with the new...

I remembered that I had a cushion in the flat, that was made up with Vintage Sari bits of material, it was then that I realised that I could use the little bits of Sari to create interesting buttons for my corsages. My silver plated brooch backs also arrived this morning in the post, yay!

After having an excessive morning of Vintage Sari/button/ corsage making. I then ventured outdoors to embrace the glorious sunshine that awaited me... good times

OuT WiTh ThE Old!

Today I decided it was time to let go of my degree art work, which is now 5 years old and represents me as an artist back at that time. It also reminds me of a lot of old memories and feelings that I was going through at that time...yes it is time to let go!!! Out with the old and in with the new...

Earring ( Trial/error Continued)

Today I made more fabric earrings using a lighter material, bigger outer circle and white pearls to go in the middle. I think they have worked well and are an improvement on my first attempt!!

I gave Helen the last few Cup Cakes left over from the party...

I also visited an A-Level textile/ art display which was an A level group that my friend Naomi Mason teaches...I also with others had a lovely meal afterwards !!!

Cocktail hen Party

yesterday was the day of the hen party which I hosted for Helen, who is getting married in July!! the party was a success and everyone had fun... I enjoyed making the decorations and drinks! food ect...

After we headed for more cocktails at the Treasury( Classy cocktail bar) and then went to the Barbican ( Plymouth) and ended up at North hill ...all in all I think Helen had a fab time!!!!

Trial & Error ( Material Earrings)

Today I have continued making material jewellery...my shoe accessories & brooches I am pleased with...My fabric earrings however will take more experimentation, maybe using a different material and making them larger hmmmmm

Material heaven

Textiles being one of my favorite activities was high on my agenda yesterday, I decided to go on a trip to Trago, which is well known for selling all kinds of materials and crafty things!!

I am also organising a cocktail party this friday, this is for my Friend Helen who is getting married in july....I managed to get lots of party things for a good price!!! exciting...


My shop resulted in making more material corsages, I also sent packages with little presents to various people fun times !!

Sunday = Church as always, waterfront church is a local church where many young people and students attend!!! faith,friendship and truth! Awesome!!!


Today I have attempted to make biscuits coated in coconut shavings, also known as melting moments...not bad for a first try!!! but being a perfectionist is hard work...they could be much better!!!



During the afternoon I was feeling a bit rubbish so chilled out on the sofa and watched Bride and Prejudice a Bollywood twist on pride and prejudice!!!Ace...

Knitty Gritty

Every other Thursday eve I go to a Knitting and craft group....which includes homemade... biscuits/cakes!!!!Coffee.fruit teas... General chit chat.

Also every Friday I volunteer at Helping hands which is a parent and toddlers group. I help with general tasks such as putting out crafts/toys/activities...wiping noses/tears away and preparing snack time.
